It was a great show with Todd Rundgren last night, Dec 22 at the Sellersville Theater. The theater has improved the light system since I did lights there a couple of years ago with Jim Weider. I would like to thank Allison, the sound/light engineer there for a great job of setting up the lights for the show! She was also great at explaining the system to me before the show to make my job easier. The band put on an excellent performance! They got to the venue just shortly before show time (10pm) because they had a taping for the Letterman show from 5pm-6pm earlier in the day. I got to see a few friends at the show which is always nice.
After the show I got to eat with the band & some friends at the restaurant next door to the theater. It was fun & ran into the wee hours of the night. Hopefully we can all get together again sometime!

Vinyl Diner at Emmaus Fire Co # 2 (the Deuce) Thanksgiving Eve 08

A lot of fun for the crowd tonight at Emmaus Fire Co #2 (the Deuce) with Vinyl Diner. It is the second year in a row we did Thanksgiving Eve and we should be back next year! It's always fun working with Vinyl Diner, I never know what songs they are going to do and they always come up with great ones. The band put on a stellar performance, they just seem to keep getting better every gig. It was nice seeing some old friends and meeting some new ones.

Halloween at the Emmaus VFW

It was a nice show at the Emmaus VFW tonight with Vinyl Diner for the Emmaus Arts Commission. It is a really nice size room with a high stage. The band put on an excellent performance and the crowd stayed for the entire night. There were even a lot of people dancing on the large dance floor.

I was totally surprised to see an old friend of mine there! It was great seeing her again. I met a couple of her nice friends who I will stay in touch with.

We may be back for New Year's Eve, at this time it is not definite. I will update here as I get the information.

October 31, 2008 – Emmaus Arts Commission 1st Annual Halloween Dance at the Emmaus VFW. Dance your life away at the Emmaus VFW, 316 Main St., on Friday October 31st from 8-11pm with music by: Vinyl Diner - Classic Rock & Blues from the 60’s & 70’s.

The cost of the dance is $10 per person and $12.00 at the door. If you would like to reserve tickets please email us and we will hold tickets for you at the $10.00 rate. All money is a donation to the Emmaus Arts Commission for future events. Come out and support your arts community.

Todd Rundgren at the Community Theatre, Morristown, NJ October 9

I took a vacation day at work to go to the show. Unfortunately I did not do lights for this show. The house LD had no problem with me doing the lights, but the owner is touchy about the things in the theatre. It was surprising that he allowed Robert (who's the sound engineer for the entire tour) to use the house sound board.
The show was great! There was a bass resonance problem in the room but other than that the sound was great with nice lights. The bands performance was spectacular as most of the shows of the Arena tour have been. It was nice to be able to enjoy a show because when I do lights I'm concentrating on what I'm doing. I did do lights for the Bearsville Theater show a couple of months ago and that went well with a great performance by the band.
If you haven't seen Todd Rundgren lately (or have never seen him) do yourself a favor and see this tour!
